Automatic seats and windows were optional on the Bel Air and Two-Ten models at extra cost. Starting with the 1955 Chevrolet, Chevrolet switched from a six volt electrical system, used on all Chevy’s prior to 1955, to a 12-volt system. It was an important change for the 1955 Chevrolet and all Classic Chevy’s to come.
